Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher, has been charged with multiple serious criminal offences, including rape, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The 59-year-old, who lives in East Finchley, North London, has also been charged with:
- Three counts of sexual assault
- Three counts of intentional strangulation
- Coercive and controlling behaviour
- Two counts of making threats to kill
- Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2022 and 2024, with the investigation launched by authorities in 2023. Police confirmed that the alleged victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.
Paul Gallagher, who is not known to have any professional ties to Oasis, is due to appear at Westminster Magistratesโ Court on 27 August.
The charges have sent shockwaves through the public, especially given the Gallagher familyโs high-profile status in British music culture.
