Controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan has lashed out at music executive Soso Soberekon for what he described as a โdisrespectfulโ boxing match offer involving street-pop singer Portable.
Soso had publicly proposed a โฆ120 million deal for a boxing face-off between Portable and VeryDarkMan, in a bid to settle their ongoing online feud. However, the outspoken activist, in an Instagram video shared on Sunday evening, rejected the offer outright, insisting the figure was far below his worth.
VeryDarkMan claimed he previously turned down a $100,000 offer to fight American rapper 50 Cent, stating that he had demanded $1 million to match the A-list artistโs fee expectations. He said the proposed match, which was supposed to be the โbiggest event in Africa,โ fell through due to payment disagreements.
He slammed Soso Soberekon, saying:
โIt is disrespectful to say you want to carry me now go fight for as low as โฆ100 millionโฆ N100 million cannot even buy you a good house in Abuja.โ
He further added that any future discussions about a boxing match must start at $500,000 upfront, or his name should be left out entirely.
VeryDarkManโs fiery response has stirred intense reactions online, with many weighing in on the worth of influencers and celebrities in Nigeriaโs growing entertainment boxing scene.
