Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has declared that the state is fully behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, pledging massive support for the president’s re-election bid.

Speaking during the reception of defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area, Okpebholo said Edo State would deliver 2.5 million votes for Tinubu as a show of appreciation for the president’s development strides under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The governor described the large turnout of defectors as proof that the PDP’s influence in the state is dwindling, adding that the people of Edo have experienced significant transformation under the APC-led federal government.

Okpebholo reaffirmed his loyalty to President Tinubu and assured that his administration would continue to align with federal policies aimed at driving economic growth, job creation, and infrastructural renewal across Edo State.
