Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has responded strongly to his former political mentor and estranged benefactor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, over what he described as repeated verbal attacks against him.

Speaking on the matter, Governor Yusuf warned that his silence on previous criticisms should not be seen as a sign of weakness or fear, stressing that he would not tolerate continued provocation.

The governor’s reaction comes amid growing political tension between the two prominent Kano politicians, whose relationship has reportedly deteriorated in recent times after years of close political alliance.

Yusuf cautioned against further personal attacks, saying he would be forced to defend himself if the situation continues to escalate.

The development highlights increasing cracks within the political bloc once led by Kwankwaso in Kano State.
