Twenty-eight travellers who were kidnapped on December 21, 2025, in Zak community of Bashar District, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, have been released by their captors.

The victims were abducted while travelling through the area, an incident that sparked concern among residents and renewed fears over insecurity along major routes in the state.
