Abdul Samad Rabiu Pledges Cash Rewards to Super Eagles After Algeria Victory

Business mogul and BUA Group Chairman/CEO, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced a major financial incentive for the Super Eagles following their 2–0 victory over Algeria, pledging substantial rewards to motivate the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals.

In a statement dated January 10, 2026, Rabiu congratulated the players for their impressive performance, describing the win as one that lifted the spirit of the nation.

He pledged $500,000 to the Super Eagles players if they win their semi-final match, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored in that game.

The BUA Group boss further promised a larger reward should Nigeria go on to win the tournament, pledging $1 million for victory in the final, alongside $100,000 for each goal scored in the decisive match.

Rabiu encouraged the team to maintain their momentum, urging them to continue making Nigeria proud as they pursue continental glory.
