Chairman of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, has commended the Super Eagles for their bravery, resilience, and outstanding performance, describing the team as a source of pride to the nation despite their narrow loss.
In a message to the national team, Rabiu praised the players for fighting with courage and determination throughout the match, noting that although the outcome did not go Nigeria’s way, the Super Eagles displayed passion, unity, and an unyielding fighting spirit on the pitch.
He acknowledged that football, like life, does not always reward effort with victory, but stressed that the character, discipline, and commitment shown by the team are worthy of celebration and national recognition.
As a mark of appreciation for their remarkable journey and dedication, the BUA Group Chairman confirmed that he would fulfil his pledge of $500,000 to the team. He said the gesture was in recognition of their hard work, perseverance, and the joy they brought to millions of Nigerians during the tournament.
Rabiu urged the players to keep their heads high, expressing confidence that the experience and lessons gained would translate into greater success in future competitions. He reaffirmed his belief in the Super Eagles and assured them of the continued support of Nigerians.
“The Super Eagles fought with heart and honour. Nigeria is proud of you, and greater victories lie ahead,” he said.
