As preparations intensify for the 2025 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), the organisers, in partnership with the African Union, have appointed three new music experts to its international jury panel. The newly inducted jurors are Marwane Fachane from Morocco (North Africa), Asma Ilado from Kenya (East Africa), and Messie Mboukou from Congo Brazzaville (Central Africa).

The appointments are part of AFRIMA’s commitment to maintaining a fair and professional judging process that reflects Africa’s rich musical and cultural diversity. The trio brings years of experience across music, culture, and youth development, and will contribute to selecting the continent’s top musical talents for recognition at this year’s event.

Welcoming the new members, AFRIMA’s Chief Experience Officer, Adenrele Niyi, praised their regional expertise and enthusiasm. “Each of them is a respected music professional… Their inclusion adds a refreshing perspective to our already diverse Jury,” she said. AFRIMA 2025 will be held in Lagos from November 25 to 30, and will be broadcast in over 84 countries worldwide.
