The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice has formally denied any involvement of the Federal Government in the recent acquisition of shares in First Holdco, a financial holding company linked to First Bank of Nigeria.

Responding to public concerns and speculation, the AGF emphasized that the transaction was entirely private and carried out by individual investors and stakeholders, with no directive, funding, or backing from the Federal Government.

He urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration remains committed to maintaining transparency and non-interference in private sector investments, in line with its reform-driven economic agenda.
