The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) has entered into a strategic partnership with Arzikin Noma Nigeria Limited to revive and manage the Renewed Hope Mega Farm located in Ora, Kwara State.

The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at strengthening food security, empowering rural communities, and promoting youth participation in agriculture.

Under the agreement, NALDA will provide the necessary infrastructure and enabling environment for the project, including land preparation, construction of hostels, administrative buildings, warehouses, and security posts. On its part, Arzikin Noma will be responsible for financing, management, and daily operations of the farm. The firm will also support farmers with inputs, oversee production, and ensure accountability through a transparent “wallet system.”

Each participating farmer will be allocated five hectares of farmland without any upfront cost. Expenses incurred during production will be deducted after harvest, ensuring inclusivity and reducing financial barriers for smallholder farmers.

The Ora Mega Farm, designed to cover at least 5,000 hectares, will operate as a cluster model with essential amenities, creating a sustainable ecosystem for agricultural productivity and youth engagement. Similar initiatives are underway in Ekiti and Bauchi States, marking a broader rollout of the mega farm model across the country.

According to NALDA’s Executive Secretary, the project represents a new era of public-private partnership in agriculture, where the government provides infrastructure and policy support, while private investors drive production and efficiency.

The revival of the Ora Mega Farm is expected to boost local food production, create jobs, and enhance rural development, aligning with Nigeria’s broader goal of achieving self-sufficiency in food supply.
