Airtel Africa has raised its cumulative share repurchases to 40.93 million shares under its ongoing buyback programme. The latest purchase, on December 31, 2025, involved 40,000 shares at prices ranging from 354 to 357 pence.
All repurchased shares are being cancelled, reducing the company’s total issued shares to approximately 3.66 billion. The buybacks, executed across major European trading venues with the support of Barclays Capital Securities, are designed to enhance shareholder value and support key metrics such as earnings per share.
The programme forms part of Airtel Africa’s $100 million buyback initiative, which was launched in December 2024. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
