In a stunning and swift development, Los Angeles County prosecutors have charged three men with the murder of Maria De La Rosa — the rising singer known as DELAROSA — after what authorities describe as an “ambush-style attack.” District Attorney Nathan Hochman revealed that the suspects, 27-year-old Francisco Otilio Gaytan, 27-year-old Benny LiconGomez, and 21-year-old Eduardo Lopez, all from Northridge, allegedly carried out the deadly shooting in the early hours of Nov. 22. Each suspect now faces one felony count of murder and two felony counts of attempted second-degree robbery.

According to investigators, the men approached a parked car on Bryant Street shortly before 1:25 AM, demanded money and then opened fire. DELAROSA, who was inside the vehicle with two friends, was fatally struck while her companions escaped unharmed. The brazen attack shocked the Northridge community, where the beloved performer had been gaining momentum in her music career before her life was cut short.

Authorities confirmed that Gaytan and LiconGomez have been arrested, while an active warrant has been issued for Lopez, who remains at large. With one suspect still on the run and a community mourning a rising star, the question now lingers — will justice find every one of those responsible for this senseless killing?
