Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has expressed confidence in new signing Senne Lammens, describing the Belgian as a goalkeeper who “has the potential to be Manchester United goalkeeper for many, many years.”

Speaking on André Onana’s departure, Amorim acknowledged the Cameroonian’s past success but said the club needed a new direction.
“Onana did great at Inter, but as a club now we needed a change,” he said. “Sometimes it’s hard to point why — the performance, the moment, the bad luck in some moments was hard on him.”
Amorim concluded with warm words for his former No.1:
“I wish André all the very best.”
