Amorim Keeps Goalkeeper Decision Under Wraps Ahead of Fulham Clash

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has refused to reveal whether Andre Onana will reclaim his starting spot against Fulham on Sunday, with pressure mounting after Altay Bayindir’s mistake proved costly in last weekend’s defeat to Arsenal. Onana, who has recently returned to full fitness, is available for selection but his role remains uncertain.

Asked directly about his goalkeeper choice, Amorim was deliberately vague, saying: “Onana is ready to play like last week, so we will see in the game who is going to be the goalkeeper.” The Portuguese coach confirmed Lisandro Martínez and Noussair Mazraoui will miss out through injury but noted that the rest of the squad is fit.

The uncertainty around the No.1 position has sparked debate among fans, with Bayindir under scrutiny after a string of unconvincing displays. Sunday’s clash with Fulham could prove decisive in shaping United’s early season momentum — and in settling who Amorim trusts between the posts.
