Famous actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reached a divorce settlement, ending an eight-year legal battle, according to People Magazine.

Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, confirmed the settlement, stating that Jolie is “focused on finding peace and healing for their family.” He added, “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

Once considered Hollywood’s most high-profile couple, Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, and the two have been embroiled in a court fight ever since. In 2018, they agreed on a custody arrangement for their six children, three of whom are adopted, although that arrangement seems to have since fallen apart.

In addition to their divorce proceedings, Pitt, 61, and Jolie, 49, have been involved in a separate legal dispute over the sale of Jolie’s stake in Chateau Miraval, the French vineyard where they married.

Pitt and Jolie first became a couple after starring as married assassins in the 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
