The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has imposed a lifetime no-fly ban on a female passenger, Comfort Emmanson, following allegations that she assaulted airline officials aboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to Lagos.

According to reports, the incident occurred during the flight, with Emmanson allegedly engaging in disruptive and aggressive behaviour toward crew members. The AON described the action as unacceptable and a threat to the safety and dignity of airline personnel and fellow passengers.

In a statement, the association reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing strict measures against unruly behaviour in the aviation sector, warning that similar acts will attract severe sanctions, including permanent bans. Ibom Air has yet to issue a detailed account of the incident.
