The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed media reports suggesting a possible replacement of Vice President Kashim Shettima as the running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Party described the stories as purely speculative, untrue, and baseless, urging media organizations not to amplify rumours from sources of questionable credibility that seek to create discord and confusion.

APC emphasized that, under current laws and electoral regulations, political activities remain restricted, and the Party remains focused on supporting President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima in delivering the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, including economic reforms and initiatives aimed at improving living conditions nationwide.

Party officials and ministers were called upon to avoid stoking speculation and to concentrate on diligent service and consolidating the achievements of the administration under President Tinubu’s leadership.
