The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has extended an open invitation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to defect from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and join the ruling party.

The invitation was issued by the state chapter of the APC under the leadership of former national chairman and former Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Speaking on behalf of Ganduje on Tuesday, the Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, described the move as part of efforts to promote unity, reconciliation, and the overall development of Kano State.

According to him, the APC is prepared to welcome Governor Yusuf and work collectively to advance the interests of the state.

“The APC is ready to receive Governor Abba Yusuf with open arms so that, together, we can combine our strengths for the progress of the state,” Abbas said.
