The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has received the report of the committee that conducted the party’s primary election in Osun State, describing the exercise as historic and a strong reflection of the party’s commitment to transparency, credibility and internal democracy.

Receiving the report alongside the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru; the National Organising Secretary, H.E. Sulaiman Argungu; and the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, the APC Chairman praised the unusually high-powered nature of the committee and the integrity of the process.

Chairman of the primary election committee and Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, presented key observations from the exercise, highlighting unity within the party, massive enthusiasm among members, and a growing demand for change across Osun State. He noted that residents are increasingly dissatisfied with what he described as “motion without development” and are calling for effective and impactful governance.

Commending the committee for a job well done, the APC Chairman said the primary was conducted in a peaceful and celebratory atmosphere, further strengthening confidence in the party’s internal processes.

He assured that the report would be promptly presented to the Party Caucus and the National Executive Committee (NEC) for consideration.

Describing Osun State as strategic to the party’s electoral fortunes, he expressed confidence that with unity, effective mobilisation and strong synergy between the party and APC governors, the party is well positioned to reclaim the state and deliver purposeful, people-focused governance.

He added that while the journey continues, the path ahead is clear and victory remains achievable.
