The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that it will retain its existing zoning arrangement for National Working Committee (NWC) positions ahead of the party’s 2026 National Convention.

This decision was outlined in the party’s published schedule of nationwide congresses and related activities, which indicates that the current distribution of positions across states within the geo-political zones will remain unchanged.

The zoning formula, which allocates key party offices among the country’s regions, is expected to guide the conduct of the convention and ensure continuity in the party’s internal structure.

Party officials say the move is aimed at maintaining stability and balance within the APC as preparations intensify for the convention.
