Mama Ogini, daughter of the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, has strongly responded to Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA following his controversial comments that appeared to mock the legacy of her father. Fatoyinbo, in a recent message, allegedly questioned the Apostle’s life of sacrifice because of his modest means and asked, “Where are his children?” — a remark widely condemned as disrespectful.
In her response, Mama Ogini described Fatoyinbo’s words as “mammon-inspired” and unbecoming of a minister of the gospel. She emphasized that her father’s legacy was never about earthly wealth but about an unshakable dedication to God’s work, which has continued to impact lives decades after his passing.
She further rebuked the COZA leader, stating that such comments were more fitting for a Sunday school pupil still learning the basics of Christian humility, not someone entrusted with shepherding a congregation. Mama Ogini reaffirmed that the true measure of Apostle Babalola’s life is evident in the enduring spiritual revival he sparked across Nigeria, not in material possessions.
