Are Diesel Shortages Disrupting Telecom Services in Abuja? NCC Says Yes

Share

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has attributed recent telecom service disruptions in Abuja to diesel supply shortages affecting critical network infrastructure. Base stations powered by diesel generators, including those operated by MTN and Airtel, have experienced intermittent outages due to fuel delivery challenges.

The regulator links the disruption to activities by the National Oil and Gas Suppliers Association (NOGASA), which have delayed diesel transportation to key sites. The NCC is actively engaging network operators, fuel suppliers, and government agencies to restore normal services.

Subscribers were urged to be patient as efforts continue to stabilise network performance, with the NCC reaffirming its commitment to high-quality telecom services across the Federal Capital Territory. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
