Arsenal Exit: Arteta Retains Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has earned Mikel Arteta’s endorsement to stay at Arsenal and compete for a spot in the starting XI. Arteta has confirmed his final transfer plans, indicating that Jesus’ future at the club remains secure.

Despite concerns over injuries, the £65 million signing of Kai Havertz, and substantial transfer offers from Saudi Arabia, it was anticipated that Jesus might leave north London this summer. However, the 27-year-old has shown a strong resolve to secure his place in the team and his determination appears to have been rewarded.

Jesus was given a crucial role in Arsenal’s 2-0 home victory against Wolves on opening day, and it has been confirmed that Arteta considers him integral to the team’s title aspirations, with no immediate plans to bring in a new striker.

Arteta expressed confidence in Jesus and other forwards, stating, “I have faith in [Havertz], we have faith in [Gabriel Jesus], and Leandro [Trossard] has also played in that position.” He continued, “We have different qualities among our players, and the best approach is to trust them and work on their improvement. They are very talented and eager, which is our main focus.”
