According to Jocomms, Burna Boy, Davido, and Shallipopi dominated this year’s nominations, with Burna Boy and Davido each earning five nods, while Shallipopi followed closely with four, including Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year. Rema also secured three nominations, including a spot in the Artiste of the Year category, affirming Nigeria’s continued dominance in the continental music landscape.
Ayra Starr, who earned two nominations, joins Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, and Morocco’s El Grande Toto in the high-stakes Artiste of the Year contest.
