The Bank of Industry (BOI) has donated relief materials to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The donation was made in response to recent challenges faced by Nigerians due to natural disasters and economic hardships.

In a statement on Tuesday, BOI’s Managing Director, Olasupo Olusi, highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting inclusiveness across Nigeria. “Today, we stand not just as individuals but as a united community, demonstrating compassion and solidarity,” Olusi said. He emphasized that the relief materials were not just an act of charity, but a reaffirmation of BOI’s dedication to ensuring no one is left behind.

Olusi noted that while the donated materials provided immediate assistance, the long-term goal was to rebuild and restore. “Our true goal is to create a future where every Nigerian has the opportunity to thrive without fear of hunger, displacement, or uncertainty,” he added.

He also called on Nigerians to continue supporting one another, offering help whenever possible, and maintaining hope in the face of adversity.

Responding to the donation, NEMA Director-General Zubaida Umar expressed gratitude on behalf of the agency. “We thank the board and management of BOI for this kind donation. I assure you that these items will be utilized to reach the targeted beneficiaries as envisioned by the bank,” Umar said.

The partnership between BOI and NEMA underscores the importance of collaboration in addressing the needs of communities affected by disasters, with both organizations dedicated to promoting resilience and support for vulnerable Nigerians.
