In a landmark ruling, a court has ordered the immediate reinstatement of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, declaring her six-month suspension from the Senate as excessive and unlawful.

The court held that the disciplinary action breached Section 14(2) of the Senate’s Privileges Act, which outlines the limits of internal legislative sanctions.

With this decision, the Senate is now compelled to restore Senator Natasha to her legislative functions without further delay.
