
Former President Muhammadu Buhari mobilized ten members of his former cabinet on Wednesday to express condolences to Mrs. Paulin Tallen, the former Minister of Women’s Affairs and Social Development, following the death of her son, Richard Adamu Tallen.
In a message delivered by former Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Buhari referred to the late Richard as “a gem and a rising star.” He expressed his sadness over the loss, stating, “He has passed away, and it is very saddening,” according to a statement from his media aide, Garba Shehu.
Buhari encouraged the grieving family to find solace in the outpouring of love and respect from all who admired Richard.
The delegation, led by Lai Mohammed, included former ministers such as Engineer Abubakar Aliyu (Power), Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi (Environment), Jedy Agba (Power, State), Umana Umana (Niger Delta), and Niyi Adebayo (Industry, Trade and Investment). Also in attendance were Sunday Dare (Youth and Sports), Geoffrey Onyeama (Foreign Affairs), Muazu Jaji (Transportation), and Engineer Suleiman Adamu (Water Resources).
