Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, has taken a swipe at Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, describing him as a “character-in-chief” and accusing him of political theatrics.

Bwala made the remarks during an interview on The Clarity Zone Podcast, anchored by Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu. He was reacting to claims that Obi had previously referred to him as a “character.”

In a sarcastic tone, Bwala said he knew “the junction in Anambra where the madman who advised Peter Obi stayed,” a comment that sparked reactions online and added to the ongoing war of words between both political figures.

According to Bwala, Obi’s political style thrives on drama rather than substance, insisting that recent statements and public engagements by the former Anambra State governor were calculated performances.

The exchange underscores the continuing political rivalry and sharp rhetoric between key figures from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Labour Party, nearly two years after the 2023 presidential election.
