The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee announced on Friday that fans travelling to the tournament will now be eligible for free electronic visas.
The initiative applies to supporters from countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco. According to a statement on CAF’s website, e-visas obtained through the YALLA app are now free for spectators attending the competition, scheduled for 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
CAF said the move follows rising global demand for Africa’s premier football event, with more supporters securing tickets. It explained that fans will need two documents to enter Morocco and access stadiums: a Fan ID and an e-visa.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access,” the statement said.
The process for both documents is fully integrated within the YALLA app, ensuring “a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike.”
To apply, fans should download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website, complete the Fan ID form, and, if necessary, submit the e-visa request. Once approved, supporters can buy match tickets via the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF added that the new measures aim to provide a seamless and secure fan experience for Africa’s flagship tournament, which will be staged across nine stadiums in six cities.
Morocco will host the event for the first time since 1988, bringing Africa’s biggest football celebration back to North Africa amid high expectations, intense rivalries, and a new generation of rising stars. A total of 24 teams are expected to take part.
