Cardi B has etched her name in music history once again, becoming the first female rapper to see both of her first two studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her latest project, Am I The Drama?, stormed to the top with 200,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, Billboard confirmed on Sunday. This milestone follows the success of her 2018 Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy, cementing Cardi’s dominance in hip-hop and beyond.

The sophomore album not only marks her second chart-topping entry but also set the record for the biggest first-week sales of 2025 by a female R&B/hip-hop artist. Fueled by powerful streaming numbers and a surge in physical sales through exclusive vinyl and CD variants, Am I The Drama? continues to showcase Cardi B’s unmatched cultural influence. Fans won’t have to wait long to celebrate with her in person, as she prepares for a major arena tour set to kick off in February 2026.

In true Cardi B fashion, the rollout was anything but ordinary. Partnering with Walmart, Atlantic Records, and Wing Drone Delivery, she set a Guinness World Record for the most drone deliveries in one hour—176 signed CDs dropped across the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Guinness hailed it as the first time drone technology has been fused into a music release campaign, a groundbreaking moment Cardi described as “a special moment for my fans and a crazy new way to drop music.”
