Popular auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD, has reportedly been arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while attempting to travel to Qatar ahead of his wedding to controversial relationship personality, Blessing CEO.

According to reports, IVD was detained on Friday by operatives of the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions due to an ongoing legal case surrounding the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. Media personality Stella Dimoko-Korkus confirmed via Instagram that the arrest is linked to the domestic violence case still pending in court. “IVD is not supposed to leave Nigeria until the case is over,” she stated.

Bimbo Ogbonna died in October 2022 following injuries sustained in a fire incident allegedly linked to domestic abuse in their Lagos home. The Lagos State Government has since charged IVD with one count of involuntary manslaughter in suit No LD/21055C/23.
