Chelsea delivered a remarkable comeback to beat Tottenham 4-3 on Sunday, moving within four points of Premier League leaders Liverpool. Despite an early 2-0 deficit, Enzo Maresca’s side showcased their resilience, with Cole Palmer converting two penalties and Enzo Fernandez adding a crucial goal to secure the victory.

Tottenham took control in the opening minutes, with Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski scoring inside 11 minutes. However, Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho, starting after an impressive midweek performance, fired a stunning long-range strike past Fraser Forster to halve the deficit before halftime.

The second half belonged to Chelsea. Palmer equalized from the penalty spot after Yves Bissouma fouled Moises Caicedo in the box. Moments later, Fernandez smashed home Chelsea’s third goal after Palmer’s shot was deflected into his path.

Palmer sealed the win with a cheeky Panenka penalty after being brought down by Pape Sarr. Although Son Heung-min’s 96th-minute goal added late drama, Chelsea held firm to extend their unbeaten Premier League streak to seven games.

For Tottenham, the loss adds to a troubling run, with just one win in seven matches leaving them 11th in the table. Injuries to key defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven compounded their woes, while manager Ange Postecoglou faced fresh questions about his future after the match.

Chelsea now sits just four points behind Liverpool, who have a game in hand, bolstering their credentials as surprise title contenders in Maresca’s debut season.
