Cristiano dos Santos, the eldest son of five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, has received his first Portugal Under-15 national team call-up.
The 14-year-old forward, who currently plays for Al-Nassr‘s youth side in Saudi Arabia, was officially named in the squad on Tuesday. Like his father, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has had spells with Manchester United and Juventus youth academies.
The Selecao U-15 team is scheduled to compete in the Vlatko Markovic youth tournament in Croatia, where they will take on Japan, Greece, and England from May 13 to 18.
Ronaldo, who remains an active Portugal international at 40, is Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer and a key figure in his country’s football history. He famously led Portugal to their first major title at Euro 2016, although he was substituted early in the final against France due to injury.
Ronaldo has five children, and his eldest now appears set to continue his legacy on the international stage.
