Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson will be absent from the squad this weekend, manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed. The Brazilian shot-stopper, however, has not formally expressed any desire to leave the club or received an official offer.
“All the players are here and are our players and I work with them… What’s going to happen, nobody knows!” Guardiola told reporters, clarifying that Ederson had not approached him about a transfer.
The 30-year-old’s absence comes at a time of growing speculation over his future, with City fans awaiting clarity on whether the weekend omission signals a temporary rest or the start of a major change.
