
The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N2.001 trillion from the July 2025 Federation Account Revenue to the three tiers of government. The distribution was finalized during the August FAAC meeting in Abuja.
According to the communiqué, the Federal Government received N735.081 billion, State Governments got N660.349 billion, and Local Government Councils collected N485.039 billion, while N120.359 billion was shared as 13% derivation revenue to oil-producing states. The distributable revenue pool included statutory revenue of N1.282 trillion, Value Added Tax (VAT) of N640.610 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) of N37.601 billion, and Exchange Difference of N39.745 billion.
The total gross revenue for July stood at N3.837 trillion, lower by N415.108 billion compared to June’s N3.485 trillion. The report noted significant increases in Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Oil and Gas Royalty, EMTL, and Excise Duty, while VAT and Import Duty recorded marginal rises. However, Companies Income Tax (CIT) and CET Levies dropped during the period.
