The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he has no regrets for supporting President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.
Wike, who served as the governor of Rivers State for eight years under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made this statement during a thanksgiving service organized by the PDP in Ochigba, Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas of Rivers State.
Reflecting on his decision to support Tinubu, Wike expressed gratitude to the President for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving as FCT Minister under the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.
“I have no regrets, I have no apologies. If the opportunity comes, I will do the same thing,” Wike affirmed.
The minister revealed that he faced threats before the presidential elections for his stance but maintained that his decision was based on his conviction.
Wike’s statement underscores his unwavering support for Tinubu and his belief in the President’s leadership, despite political differences between the PDP and APC.
