The federal government has approved the promotion of 20,867 senior personnel across various ranks within the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS). The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has also received approval for the elevation of its officers.
The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on Friday, September 13, highlighting the significant number of officers benefiting from the promotion. The approval includes a special promotion for select officers: two from the NCoS, four from the NIS, two from the NSCDC, and one from the FFS.
This large-scale promotion demonstrates the government’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding the dedication of personnel in key security and civil services across the country.
