The visit was aimed at reviewing the company’s operational capacity, production processes, and overall readiness to support Nigeria’s defence and internal security requirements.

During the visit, Mr. Pheelangwah inspected Proforce’s facilities and engaged the management in discussions on potential areas of collaboration in the development and supply of defence and security equipment. The engagement aligned with national security priorities and the Federal Government’s drive to enhance local capacity within the defence industry.

The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting local content, technology transfer, and strategic public-private partnerships as key pillars for achieving self-reliance in defence procurement. The assessment visit reflects the FG’s broader strategy to deepen cooperation with capable indigenous manufacturers to bolster national security and drive sustainable industrial growth in the defence sector.
