The Federal Government has directed civil servants working within the Federal Secretariat in Abuja to work from home on Friday, March 27, 2026, ahead of the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The directive, issued through the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, affects staff of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies located within the Federal Secretariat Complex, including those in Phases I, II, and III, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The move is part of measures to ease traffic congestion and enhance security around the Federal Secretariat and adjoining areas, particularly Eagle Square, where the APC convention is scheduled to hold. Authorities noted that access roads within the vicinity will be restricted during the period, urging workers to comply fully with the directive.
