The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled its 2025–2027 Education Communication Strategy to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public confidence in the education sector. The strategy was launched on Monday, September 29, 2025, by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa.

Dr. Alausa emphasized that effective communication is central to educational reform, stating, “Education is not only about classrooms and textbooks but about shaping the destiny of our children and the prosperity of our nation.” The framework is designed to standardize messaging across all education agencies, ensuring consistent engagement with stakeholders nationwide.

The strategy is built around four key pillars – Visibility, Coordination, Engagement, and Resilience – to ensure that sector achievements are effectively communicated. Notable milestones under the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI) include a digital platform for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with over 1.3 million applicants, free education in technical schools with a monthly stipend of ₦22,500, and the empowerment of 577,000 girls through scholarships and life skills training under the AGILE Project.

Dr. Alausa also acknowledged the contribution of First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who revitalized the stalled National Library Project through her 65th birthday appeal for donations. The launch of this communication strategy highlights the government’s commitment to creating a transparent, accountable, and inclusive education system that benefits all Nigerians.
