The Federal Government has unveiled the Happy Woman Platform, a national initiative designed to empower 10 million Nigerian women with financial tools, skills and opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
The project, launched by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs in collaboration with Intelligent Innovations, seeks to promote financial independence among women through digital inclusion, entrepreneurship support and access to funding.
Speaking at the official launch in Lagos, the Minister of Women Affairs explained that the Happy Woman Platform would serve as a comprehensive digital ecosystem for women across the country. It will provide access to training programmes, business development support, mentorship, health and wellness services, as well as connections to financial institutions and markets.
According to the organisers, the platform is designed to reach women at different levels of society, including micro and small business owners, young professionals and digital creators. By leveraging technology, it aims to remove barriers that have limited women’s participation in the economy and promote inclusive growth.
The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises social inclusion, gender equality and sustainable national development.
Stakeholders at the event described the Happy Woman Platform as a transformative step toward reducing poverty, improving women’s livelihoods and ensuring that no woman is left behind in Nigeria’s economic reform journey.
