The Federal Government has unveiled a N10 million Tax Reform Innovation Challenge for Nigerian students, aimed at promoting tax education and youth engagement in fiscal reforms.
The initiative, led by the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms chaired by Taiwo Oyedele, will award N5 million to the first prize winner, N3 million to the second, and N2 million to the third. Additionally, the top 10 finalists from each geopolitical zone will receive gadgets, internships, employment opportunities, and the title of “Tax Reform Youth Ambassador.”
Eligible participants include students of universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, as well as recent graduates who are part of or awaiting mobilisation into the NYSC.
Participants are required to submit content in formats such as articles, videos, podcasts, radio pieces, or social media posts related to the new tax reform laws. Submissions must have been published between July 1 and December 31, 2025.
The challenge is part of the Tinubu administration’s broader effort to raise awareness of tax reforms, educate young Nigerians, and foster their involvement in shaping the country’s fiscal policy.
