The Federal Government has launched applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP) a key initiative under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration aimed at empowering youth, boosting food production, and modernising agriculture.
Implemented through the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), the programme provides access to tractors and other modern farm equipment under flexible leasing and repayment terms. It targets young agripreneurs (18–35 years) and women-led agribusinesses to promote inclusivity and rural employment.
According to the BOA, RHAMP will help reduce Nigeria’s dependence on manual farming, increase productivity, and strengthen food security. The government plans to deploy thousands of tractors and support centres across the country to ensure proper maintenance and sustainability.
Applications are open until November 10, 2025, via the official BOA portal. Eligible applicants include registered farmers, cooperatives, and mechanisation service providers. Officials have advised interested participants to verify details only through official government channels to avoid scams.
The initiative, part of Tinubu’s broader agricultural reform agenda, is expected to improve yields, create jobs, and drive economic growth through a modernised, mechanised farming system. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
