



The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling insecurity across the country, calling on regional and international allies to strengthen collaboration in the collective fight against emerging threats.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, made this known when he received a delegation of the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), led by its President, Archbishop Prof. Leonard Bature Kawas, during a courtesy visit in Abuja.
Akume stated that the Tinubu-led administration is doing everything within its power to safeguard lives and property, stressing that enhanced support from global partners is crucial in addressing the nation’s security challenges. He welcomed the vote of confidence passed on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as an acknowledgment of the administration’s ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability.
He further urged religious bodies to continue praying for the peace, unity, and prosperity of the country.
In his remarks, Archbishop Kawas reaffirmed the CBCN’s support for the administration’s efforts to combat insecurity, pledging continuous prayers for national peace and cohesion.
