The Federal Government has set aside N367.9 billion from a multilateral/bilateral loan for the Lafia Road and 9th Mile–Otukpo–Makurdi dualisation in the 2026 budget.
The allocation is part of the N58.47 trillion national budget, with the Ministry of Works receiving N3.49 trillion, mostly for road construction and rehabilitation projects across Nigeria.
The project aims to improve connectivity between North-Central and South-East Nigeria and boost economic activity in the region. The government plans to combine budget allocations and external financing to fast-track such infrastructure projects. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
