FIFA has officially announced that member associations of clubs participating in the upcoming 2025 Club World Cup will be allowed to open a special transfer window from June 1 to June 10, 2025.

The move, which is contingent on approval from the respective leagues, will allow clubs to register new signings before the tournament kicks off on June 15, 2025. This adjustment is designed to give competing clubs more flexibility in strengthening their squads ahead of the expanded Club World Cup, which will feature 32 teams for the first time.

If approved, this brief transfer window could be a pivotal opportunity for clubs to secure key players and make adjustments to their squads as they compete for global football’s most prestigious club title.

FIFA’s decision highlights the governing body’s commitment to ensuring fairness and competitive balance in the tournament, allowing clubs to bring in reinforcements to compete at the highest level.
