Finance Minister and Defence Chief Discuss Military Role in Nigeria’s Economic Recovery

Mr. Wale Edun, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, paid a courtesy visit to General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), to highlight the military’s pivotal role in supporting democracy and driving economic and social recovery in Nigeria.

During the visit, Mr. Edun praised General Musa and the Nigerian Armed Forces for their relentless efforts in maintaining a secure environment that is essential for economic growth. He underscored how the military’s dedication aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of improving the quality of life for Nigerians through a stable and secure nation.

“The military’s unwavering commitment to securing the nation has provided the foundation upon which our economy can thrive,” Edun stated.
