
The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, hosted the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, at the CBN headquarters in Abuja. The visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration among key economic institutions in implementing the Federal Government’s fiscal and monetary policy agenda.
Discussions during the working session focused on strategies to stabilize the economy, tackle inflation, boost revenue generation, and attract investment. The meeting also addressed ways to improve policy coordination between the Ministries of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, and the Central Bank, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at restoring macroeconomic stability and sustainable growth.
The engagement reflects the government’s renewed commitment to policy alignment and economic reform, ensuring that fiscal and monetary authorities work together to deliver tangible results. It also underscores the administration’s focus on transparency, fiscal discipline, and long-term development planning as critical drivers of Nigeria’s economic recovery.
