A fire broke out early this morning, destroying the only market in Trademore Estate, Lugbe, Abuja.

The blaze reportedly began around 3:30 a.m., shortly after the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) restored power. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown.

As of the time of reporting, the extent of the damage and specific items lost in the fire have not been confirmed.

Firefighters from the Federal Fire Service, stationed at EFCC and Sauka, managed to bring the fire under control approximately two hours after it started.
