Fire Guts Lagos Computer Village, Goods Worth Millions Destroyed

A fire outbreak early Tuesday gutted a one-storey commercial building at Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, destroying goods worth millions of naira.
The fire, which started around 1:55 a.m. on Somoye Osundairo Street, affected shops dealing in computers, laptops and electronic accessories. Emergency responders, including officials of LASEMA, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, police and ambulance services, swiftly arrived and contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.
Although no lives were lost, one firefighter sustained minor injuries during the operation. The affected building was partially damaged, with the upper floor completely razed.
